We left main road and passed through beutiful Kenchō-ji (建長寺) temple as we started climbing the hills surrounding Kamakrura (鎌倉市). Stairs to the last part of temple were magnificent - on top long stairs through forest slope were statues of crow demons, Tengu, guarding the way. From there we took small mountain path through forests and after few kilometers we arrived to Zuisei-ji temple (錦屏山瑞泉寺). From there we went to Kamakura city and returned by train to Yokohama where we had hotel.
Our second trip around Kamakura (鎌倉市) temples. First one is poorly documented (10.4.), so this time we both took photos of everything :). We got off train from Tokio at Kita-Kamakura station (北鎌倉駅) and went by foot to Kamakura city. Of the temples we visited most notable is one of the most important Zen Buddhist temple Engaku-ji (円覚寺) and Rinzai Zen temple Meigetsu-in (福源山明月院).
This day we went to Ueno (上野) - one of Tokyo districts. We went to see Ueno park and visited local shrines. Then we continued to local famous open-air market district. In the evening we relocated to Shibuya (渋谷) where we had tabehoudai sukiyaki (all you can eat hotpot) for diner.
We spent this day with Michal Preuss, our long-time friend and classmate. He was working in Tokyo as intern thanks to EU student exchange project. We walked around the Tokyo (東京)and visited lots of places - Harajuku (原宿), Shibuya (渋谷), Shinjuku (新宿).
Spa city of Kusatsu (草津町). Tour around town and to nearby waterfall. Photos taken by Muhe, because I was at hotel working on my semestral project that was due.
10. 4. 2011 - Japan 2011 - 11th, 12th and 13th day
Three days that I didnt take many photos. We visited baseball batting center - for me it was first time holding batting bat :). Then we traveled to Tokyo and Kamakura. Muhe bought new camera in Tokyo(東京) but attached lenses poorly and many photos from great day in Kamakura (鎌倉市) were unusable. We spent night in familly ryokan and eaten diner together with other guests mostly students. Next day we traveled to mountain city of Kusatsu (草津町), where we wanted to relax for a few days in onsens.
